Additional Dryland Training

It can be difficult to train and workout alone. It can be much more beneficial to workout under the watchful eye of a coach, who can see what you need, correct your faults, or maybe just give you a kick in the rear to push yourself to a new level of fitness.  Movement, running, biking, swimming or strength training. We have the expertise to help any athlete.

Phsyical Assessment -

Parents, have you noticed how many injuries your children or their sport teammates have nowadays? Yet when we were young, injuries were very rare. I do not believe we were any tougher, although long hours sitting in front of a computer does not help. Or maybe playing 3 soccer or lacrosse games in 1 day contributes to the injuries. Oh, you may say, “but my child trains for their sport”. Yes, but without the correct progression in conditioning a young athlete is more susceptible to being hurt. WVBBTS is offering a program where your athlete will be analyzed to see how they are doing physically, what they need to do to stay healthy and where they are going with their future athletic potential.

Evaluation process:

1- Verbal and written evaluations of the assessments.
2- Suggested corrective exercises.
3- Suggestions for everyday life and nutrition.
4- Suggested dryland program.

Harb Carvers ( summer ski technique ) -

Skiing is a 5 or 6 month sport (almost all other sports can be practiced year round). So even for those lucky enough to get on snow in the summer, it is difficult to get the time required to maintain and build technique. We have a solution, ski on the asphalt with Harb Carvers. It is very close to skiing on snow and you use your own ski boots. The brother of Austrian World Cupper, Marlies Schilds, wrote to Harald Harb to say the Carvers were the best off-season tool for teaching hip position in skiing he had seen. With the Harb Carvers the athlete must have the hips over the feet to start the turn. Then with a tip of the inside foot the racer is carving just like they want to on the snow. Carving, being on top of the skis, being clean and pole plant timing are all skills that can be perfected on the Carvers in the summer.
